I would teach younger students to be professional in the workplace by dressing respectfully and being on time. I would also say to stay optimistic and know that it is okay to ask for help. It is important to uphold a mature attitude in the workplace because it contributes to the environment and productivity. Having an immature attitude can lead to problems for the individual and team members. The problems that will arise can be a loss of creativity and performance. I would teach younger students to not let their emotions get the best of them in the workplace by understanding triggers and to try to turn what it is that is making them emotional into a positive transformation.

It is important to keep improving work ethic, including responsibility and accountability, because self-improvement will always create positive results. Being on time for deadlines, projects and assignments is something that you are taught in school, but not only does it benefit your grades, it also trains you to be a reliable and effective employee. It shows your coworkers and employers that you both care about your job and are an effective employee who they can trust to get work done on time. The important part is to take responsibility for your actions, not by making excuses.

About Our Intern Training

We offer internships to hardworking, honest and creative college students. Our training is meant to provide them skills that complement their respective majors. While we encourage collaboration, we like to see our interns take initiative with problem-solving difficult issues. This is where creativity steps in and what fosters leadership skills. Our English faculty also assigns projects that encourage our interns to improve their writing skills. Communication is key for our team and we need everyone to write effective reports, emails and drafts. But what we admire most about our interns is how positive they’ve been with embracing our sustainability initiatives. Our interns continuously brainstorm creative ways to give back to local and foreign communities as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Presidio Impact projects. That’s what makes our interns special. They truly care about building stronger, inclusive and more equitable communities.
