Social Science

Training Critical Thinkers to Understand Society

Social science subjects offer a dynamic range of academic fields, from economics and psychology to government and politics. At Presidio Education®, we challenge students to go beyond simply memorizing names, dates, and statistics. Instead, we push them to evaluate motives, analyze societal patterns, and propose thoughtful, sustainable solutions to complex problems. These subjects help build essential skills in reading, writing, debate, and data interpretation.

Below, we’ve highlighted some of our most in-demand social science offerings.

History

Learning from the Past to Build a Better Future

Studying history helps students understand what happened, why it happened, and what we can learn from it. By examining historical successes and failures, students gain critical insight into how to build a more inclusive and sustainable world. Whether studying American, European, East Asian, South American, African, or global history, students develop an appreciation for diverse cultures and complex societies.

We teach students how to analyze both primary and secondary sources while emphasizing the importance of research accuracy and intellectual fairness. Strong historical research engages multiple—sometimes opposing—perspectives to form well-rounded, evidence-based conclusions.

Human Geography

Exploring the Forces That Shape Human Movement and Societies

Human geography—especially Advanced Placement (AP) Human Geography—continues to grow in popularity among high school and even undergraduate students. This subject goes far beyond memorizing countries or population maps. We teach students to critically examine how and why people move, interact, and settle based on a variety of push and pull factors.

Students learn to analyze the impact of war, famine, natural disasters, job opportunities, education systems, and political instability on human migration and development. Our training emphasizes real-world applications, spatial thinking, and the interconnectedness of global populations and geographic trends.

Sustainability Coursework

Solving Global Challenges Through Education and Action

Building a sustainable future requires more than awareness—it demands bold, actionable solutions. In our sustainability training, students examine real-world issues like poverty, food waste, climate change, water pollution, disease prevention, education inequality, gender discrimination, and infrastructure innovation.

Beyond the classroom, our team is deeply committed to community impact. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we regularly volunteer to support local needs. We also organize Sustainability Project Competitions (SPCs) for high school students and lead Presidio Impact projects focused on helping underserved children and the homeless. Our goal is to prepare students not only to understand sustainability but to become part of the solution.

Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship

Building Purpose-Driven Ventures in a Competitive World

Creating a game-changing business idea takes more than creativity—it takes strategy, resilience, and purpose. With markets becoming more saturated and competitive each year, students must understand that business success involves far more than just generating revenue.

At Presidio Education®, we train students to build sustainableethical, and impactful businesses that can thrive amid rapid technological change and financial pressures. We challenge students to think beyond profits and ask: What problem does this business solve? Who does it serve? How can it last? By instilling leadership, innovation, and social responsibility, we help students shape ventures that are both competitive and meaningful.
